IN PHOTOS: Singapore – Day 1

Wednesday, September 21, 2011.

We left home around 3AM for our 6AM flight to SG. Packing the night before, after working int the office for 9.6 hours is not a walk in the park. I had to focus and try hard not to fall asleep. :p

Ma had a quick breakfast at the airport with a warm bowl of arroz caldo.

Of course, the perfect cup of hot mochaccino for yours truly. ❤

Some photos from the aircraft prior take-off and after the landing! ;D

Adios MNL!

What I wore: Oversized top with blue and white stripes; purple knitted scarf; grey shorts from Space; chocolate brown newbuck ankle-boots from Forever 21. Also had my grey ’50s cover-up in case it gets chilly in NAIA.

Bus ride from Changi. Mama enjoying her first glimpse of SG.

First stop was Redhill. Dropped by a friend’s office to pick up the keys to the house where we will be staying. Filipinos are really the best. (; Before heading to Bukit Batok to drop our stuff and finally rest, we were treated to a delicious and filling lunch at the first hawkerway for our trip! The Redhill Hawkerway is definitely one of my favorites. Even if I came across other hawkerways and mall restaurants, this one is the best for me.

We headed to our temporary “home” and went straaaaaaaaaight! to bed. Ma slept like a baby. We were both so tired that afternoon, my body was a wreck. I did a few online stuff since the WiFi is still on, and woke up my mom at 6PM. We haven’t done practically anything on out first day, haha! But we were still able to accomplish the crucial to-do-item for the first day: forex!

We went to Lucky Plaza to find a good deal. I gave Ma her handsome (hehe) allowance for our stay. Then we headed to City Hall, hoping that we can still check out Funan I.T. Mall, since another plan for the first day was to buy her a Netbook. Apparently, Funan closes at 8PM. ):

We checked out a few more stalls, and headed to Bugis Junction for dinner. We wanted to see the night market at Bugis Street but we were too late so we just started our way home.

At the Bukit Batok bus interchange.

Like mother, like daughter. ((:

Waiting for bus numbers 106, 66, 987, et. al.

What I wore: Grey beaded Matryoshka doll top from Liz Uy; purple knitted scarf; black shorts from Regatta; pink loafers with grey bow.

Super love taking street photos in this country. Hey Singapore! You had me at hello. ( : ❤

PS: We’re staying for a full week here in SG so make sure to check out our adventure during Day 2.
